Billing Information

We want you to feel informed and confident about your anesthesia care, the billing process, and your financial responsibilities.

 Our Billing Process

We aim to make billing clear and stress-free. We’ll handle the insurance paperwork so you can focus on your recovery.

1. We submit your anesthesia claim directly to your insurance company.

2. Your insurance reviews and processes the claim. They may send you an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). This is NOT a bill. EOB’s show what your insurance has paid or denied.

3. Once processing is complete, we’ll send you a bill for any remaining balance, if applicable.  Only a bill from our office should be treated as a request for payment.

4. If you receive an EOB showing charges, please wait for our office to send you an actual bill before making any payment.

Our Network Status

We are currently out-of-network with most health insurance plans. This simply means our services are not paid at a preset contracted rate. However, under California AB72, we may only bill you at in-network rates, and additional billing by an out-of-network provider is not allowed.

If your care is covered by Medicare or Worker’s Compensation Insurance this does not apply to you.
